Membership Awards Night will be held on November 10, 2026 to celebrate a year of growth and success for Naturally Lewis Members! At this event, we will announce the annual award recipients and share the story of why these nominees deserve to be recognized. Stay tuned for the video's from this year's nominees!

Entrepreneur of the Year Nominees: 

Awarded to an entrepreneur whose vision and leadership have not only achieved substaintial business success but have also significantly contributed to economic growth and development in Lewis County.

Discover Tug Hill Nominees:

For tourism-based members that promote Lewis County to residents and tourists alike as the ideal place to live, work, and play. The winner of this award should bring visitors from over 50 miles away to Lewis County, provide opportunities for Lewis County residents, and promote Lewis County as a recreation destination.

Naturally Lewis Business of the Year Nominees: 

Awarded to business that contributes to greater economic growth and development in a variety of ways (i.e increasing the tax base), be involved in the community, and continuously improving itself to remain competitive.

Community Excellency Nominees: 

Recognizes a standout project or program led by a Lewis County community organization that demonstrates exceptional commitment to serving & enhancing the community. The winner of this award should go above and beyond to serve the community, & contribute to a well-rounded Lewis County.

Entrepreneur of the Year Award

The Entrepreneur of the Year Award is awarded to an entrepreneur whose vision and leadership have not only achieved substantial business success but have also significantly contributed to economic growth and development in Lewis County. 

 

Meet the 2026 Nominees:

  • Quantify Consulting | Evan Jennings, Founder of Quantify Consulting, provides data analytics services that turn information into actionable insights for the public and private sectors and offers back-office automation that streamlines repetitive tasks, allowing clients to focus on their customers. This year he opened an office in downtown Lowville and expanded his team—supporting local talent, fostering innovation, and contributing to Lewis County’s economic growth. 

  • Second Place Beer Co. | Troy Parker and Jacoba VandenBerg, Owners of Second Place Beer Co., opened up Lewis County's only brewery, dedicated to crafting small-batch, high-quality beers with passion and care. They strive to create a warm, welcoming space that feels like a second home--where kids, dogs, and friends are always welcome. From innovative new brews to exciting community events that host other small businesses, there's always something happening at Second Place Beer Co. 

  • Blackwell Bookkeping & Tax | Kelsey Blackwell, Founder of Blackwell Bookkeeping & Tax, helps business owners and families feel confident, organized, and fully supported—from monthly bookkeeping to tax preparation and planning. That’s why Blackwell Bookkeeping expanded into tax services—to offer a more connected, proactive approach to your money. Kelsey manages the books for multiple local businesses, allowing them to have more time to focus on what matters most—their business operations and clients.

Discover Tug Hill Award

The Discover Tug Hill Award recognizes tourism-based members that promote Lewis County to residents and tourists alike as the ideal place to live, work, and play. The winner of this award should bring visitors from over 50 miles away to Lewis County, provide opportunities for Lewis County residents, and promote Lewis County as a recreation destination. 

 

Meet the 2026 Nominees:

  • Beaver Camp offers a 2-acre playfield, waterfront facilities with a sand volleyball court, tetherball, swimming area, Aquajump trampoline, canoeing, paddle boating, sailing, a 9-hole frisbee golf course, and more (not including indoor activities available year-round). In winter, they offer snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, equipment rentals, and a tubing run. Located in the Adirondacks and primarily serving residents from Lewis and Jefferson Counties, they have recently welcomed campers all the way from the NYC area.

  • Flat Rock Inn offers four rooms and several campsites on the Tug Hill Plateau. Open year-round, the inn features a casual restaurant, tavern, and snowmobile and ATV rentals. They draw hundreds of visitors from across the state for their annual snowmobile watercross races, a thrilling summer motorsport where modified snowmobiles skip, drag race, and race around an oval course on open water.

  • Great Lot Sportsman's Club proudly supports the residents and tourists of Lewis and Oneida Counties by offering a variety of outdoor activities that showcase the region's natural beauty and recreational potential. The club provides opportunities for open fishing, guided hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, canoeing, bird watching, and star gazing during the spring and summer months. In winter, visitors can enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on its extensive trails. The Great Lot also hosts numerous events, including an annual military appreciation weekend that attracts veterans from across the country, fostering community spirit.

Naturally Lewis Business of the Year Award

The Naturally Lewis Business of the Year Award is awarded to a business that contributes to greater economic growth and development in a variety of ways (i.e. increasing the tax base), be involved in the community, and continuously improving itself to remain competitive. 

 

Meet the 2026 Nominees:

  • Viking Cives manufactures, supplies, and installs a wide range of truck equipment for year-round maintenance of your vital roadway systems. They specialize in snow and ice solutions with signature products like the "TOWPLOW" AND "PROLINE BODY." They are our one-stop shop for keeping our roads and highways safe and moving. In addition to a full line of snowplows, they produce combination dump bodies and other custom municipal equipment. They continue to be one of Lewis County's largest employers, employing more than 100 staff. 

  • Croghan Meat Market is a specialty meat processing plant and retail store dedicated to creating traditional, high-quality meats for conscientious consumers who take pride in their food. Founded in 1888, the market began with the founder's own ring bologna recipe brought from Switzerland. Since then, it has remained in the family for generations, continuing to operate and expand. This year, the Meat Market underwent a significant renovation that CEO Blaine Campany approached with great care, as her goal was not merely to update the store but to preserve a feeling—the sense of heritage, family, craftsmanship, and generations of hard work that have built the Croghan Meat Market’s reputation, which is renowned worldwide.Thi

  • Zehr's Flower & Landscaping has been providing the horticultural needs for Lewis County and surrounding areas since 1984. They are a third-generation family-owned small business carrying on the tradition of serving it's community. They specialize in commercial landscaping, residential landscaping, mulch, and more. This year, they have invested in silt sock, which is an eco friendly landscaping produce that they use on their commercial projects. It is replacing the plastic silt fencing that is seen on construction sites.

Community Excellency Award

The Community Excellency Award recognizes a standout project or program led by a Lewis County community organization that demonstrates exceptional commitment to serving and enhancing the community. The winner of this award should go above and beyond to serve their community, and contribute to a well-rounded Lewis County.

 

Meet the 2026 Nominees:

  • NRCIL is a professional peer-run advocacy organization working with people with disabilities while partnering with communities to create sustainable accessibility and equity. They encourage people to maximize their personal independence through it's peer-to-peer philosophy. By law, by choice and by design, the majority of their staff and board members are people with disabilities themselves. This is one of their unique and intentional ways they ensure consumer-control. 

  • The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter is a premier human services agency in the healthcare field. Their agency was started by parents who envisioned a rich, full life for their children with disabilities, inclusive of their community. They provide a full spectrum of educational, vocational, employment, residential, family support, guardianship, respite, recreational, and day habilitation for people with development disabilities and their families. 

  • Snow Ridge Outdoor Collaborative is a non-profit organization founded in the Spring of 2025, dedicated to growing outdoor recreation in the North Country, preserving our beautiful lands, and encouraging community involvement through volunteer opportunities and seasonal events. Their events are all about bringing people together through outdoor adventure, whether it's hiking scenic trails, floating local rivers, or giving back through volunteer days.
