| Fort Drum
is located within driving distance of beautiful Lewis County, New
York. Fort Drum is home to the U.S. Army's 10th Mountain Division
(Light Infantry). The 10th Mountain Division is the Army's most
deployed division. Lewis County wants to be home to the soldier & his family. The county is ideal for troops wanting to be away from the Fort, but close enough for an easy drive. Lewis County's villages are located halfway between the St. Lawrence River and the New York State Thurway. They are bordered on the west by Tug Hill Plateau and on the east by the Adirondack Forest Preserve. Watertown, NY is to the north, Syracuse, NY is to the East and Utica, NY is to the south. |
